  Andre…When other boys played soccer He stroked his violin. They pushed and pulled in mischief. He brought the sheet music in. Twas Strauss and Verdi; dark Ravel. And Beethoven’s Fifth perused. In spite of playmates’ slanderous fluff Dear Andre played amused. He stroked and plucked with vigour And in his inner ear He heard the tunes arresting A World would someday hear.
