Sunday Morning

Image
Sunday morning. Dark and Brooding. Scrambled eggs hit the spot. Cold water kept in refrigerator. Looking up comments on poetry One lonely young woman spoke up. Said thanks. Reflecting on an isolated Live-alone existence. Our exchange was tremendous. Major reason why I blog Develop websites and videos Busk with harmonicas Out on the street. Remember a guy who Dropped his bike to enter The pharmacy Rexall. Came back out teary eyed We started to talk. He said that he was so lonely. Said the music seemed just like MEDICINE. He recently had started Opening up. He then pumped away, smiling. I knew a little more clearly Why I was there. Post COVID hammering. href="http://puffnchord7.blogspot.com/"> http://puffnchord7.blogspot.com/

  - I love this man’s picture formation. Squeezing something formal and grand and much observed into a smallish view issuing off   Billy’s kitchen table after the lowering sun has left the closest window. And the six o’clock radio seems irrelevant… Doug Blair, an admirer of Billy Collins in Kitchener Ontario.  Now      Doug Blair  -

This little Guy on lap With 15 taps each side Will sorrows over-ride With oft time tunes Old Chap. And jigs get special calls In ships’ dark nether room To sweep away the gloom Whatever weather falls. Or social night perchance When couples rise to dance. Their arms entwined to hold In overtures, some bold.

You pick up an Alan Jackson And tell me to check him out Especially Living on Love. Remember THAT. You started our conversation. And I have to believe That it wasn’t just Music Preferences. (The Rose, Danny Boy Shenandoah, Amazing Grace Oh What a Beautiful Morning Lily Marlene, Where have all the Flowers Gone.) Laughter. New ideas. Not too much talking Or offtrack we go. I am usually the culprit In that department. Quickly I get reminded. And the common accord Is renewed. Beautiful simple sounds. Together. First introduced at a Harmonica Club. Rockway Senior Centre. Thank you Matt and Rick.
