L. Cohen ( Hallelujah)
Hallelujah
Leonard Cohen,
Canadian Word painter.
A mystical
A magical
A moody haunting tune
That seized the world
In reverie
As worship filled the room.
To grasp the skies
As David did.
A Jewish boy with sheep.
The Meadows worked
To bring God close.
With words heartfelt and deep.
And other thoughts
To add right in.
Of torrid love
Gone old.
But worked right through
Our mortal mix
And having to be told. (D. Blair)
Suzanne...to her place by the River...wearing rags and feathers...feeds you tea and oranges...touched her perfect body with your mind.
Dance Me to the End of Love
At about age 75 Leonard suffered the theft of most of his estate through fraudulent practices of his business manager. Forced back into a huge concert circuit worldwide. Song was his renewal and his romance and his mighty adieu to the World. Tremendously meek human being and poet.
